India vs Sri Lanka Rishabh Pant: The T20 series will be played between India and Sri Lanka on the occasion of New Year from January 3 and then the ODI series. BCCI has announced Team India for this. Pant was injured during India’s tour of Bangladesh. After this he was rested from the team and was no longer included in the team for the series against Sri Lanka. Pant has consistently proved to be a flop in the ODI and T20 formats. As soon as he is out, the BCCI has entrusted the responsibility of wicketkeeping to KL Rahul along with Ishaan Kishan. Rahul can also do wicketkeeping in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Along with Pant, the BCCI is also looking at options for wicketkeeping.
Rishabh Pant played an important inning of 93 runs in the second Test against Bangladesh. He also scored 46 runs in an innings in the Chittagong Test. But before that he proved to be a continuous flop in ODI and T20 format. Pant was dismissed after scoring 3 runs in the match played against Zimbabwe in Melbourne. After this he was dismissed after scoring 6 runs in T20 against England. Scored 6, 11 and 15 against New Zealand. Returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs in the last match of the ODI series against New Zealand. This match was played in November 2022.
